Man, 28, in custody after being arrested at King's Lynn hospital

A 28-year-old man remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of public order offences and assaulting an emergency worker following an incident at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday.

Police have confirmed the patient was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, harassment, and three public order offences.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Police said: "Officers were called to the A&E department at about 1pm following reports a patient was being physically and verbally abusive towards staff."
