Man, 76, in court accused of dangerous driving in a tractor

A 76-year-old man accused of driving a tractor dangerously and failing to stop for police has appeared in court.

Danny Thorpe, of Main Road, Clenchwarton, is charged with two counts of dangerous driving in White Cross Lane, Tilney All Saints.

He’s also accused of the failing to stop for police offence, not being licensed to drive that class of vehicle and having no insurance.

All the offences are said to relate to a Mercedes Benz tractor being driven on July 14 last year.

Thorpe appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and claimed he had not been served with proper details of the charges by the Crown Prosecution Service.

The case was adjourned to Thursday, March 3.
