Downham Market man arrested in Wetherspoon pub The Whalebone in front of patrons




A man was arrested in a Wetherspoon pub in West Norfolk last week on suspicion of sexual offences.

Customers at The Whalebone pub in Downham posted footage of the arrest to social media.

The video has since been viewed more than 1,000 times.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Police said: "Police were called to an address in Bridge Street, Downham Market, on Tuesday, September 21, where a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual offences.

"He was taken into custody at Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released on bail with conditions until Tuesday, October 19, while enquiries continue."
