Man arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after A47 crash at Tilney All Saints

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a crash on the A47 this morning.

Police were called to the main road at Tilney All Saints at 7.30am following the collision, and closed off the carriageway in the Lynn-bound direction.

The Worzals roundabout near Wisbech was also shut off, as was the Terrington St John slip road. All three of these have since reopened.

Norfolk Police has now confirmed that a man aged in his 50s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving and taken to hospital.

He was then transferred to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
