Witnesses are being sought after a man was attacked while riding on a cycle path in Lynn late last night.

Police say the incident happened on the route between Gaywood Road and Tennyson Avenue at around 10.20pm on Wednesday.

The victim, a man in his 30s, is said to have been approached by a group of young people, also on bikes, before being assaulted.

The man fled the scene, leaving his own red mountain bike and other property behind.

The items were subsequently found to have been taken when he returned to the scene with police.

Anyone who saw the incident, or who has information about it, is asked to contact PC Matthew Denyer, at Lynn police station, via the non-emergency 101 number.
