Man charged in connection with hare coursing incident in Oxborough

A man has been charged in connection with hare coursing in Oxborough.

Officers were called to reports of three men with dogs and a vehicle in a field off Gooderstone Road in Oxborough at about 8.20am on Sunday (November 18).

When police arrived at the scene, the men made off in an Audi A4, which failed to stop for officers.

Further enquiries led to the arrest of Charlie Friend, 22, of St Mary Cray in Orpington.

He has since been charged in connection with trespassing in search of the pursuit of game, possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon catapult.

He was released on bail to appear at Lynn Magistrates' Court on Thursday, December 27.
