Man in 70s dies two weeks after suffering serious injuries in Crimplesham crash on A1122 Downham Road




A man has died almost two weeks after a crash in Crimplesham, police have today confirmed.

Officers were called to the A1122 Downham Road in the village, near the junction with Willow Heath Road, at 3.52pm on Friday, June 9.

They had responded to reports that a red Hyundai car had been involved in a collision with a silver VW Caddy van.

The driver of the Hyundai – a man in his 70s – was seriously injured and airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Police have said that he died on Thursday.

The driver of the VW Caddy was taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries.
