A man has appeared in court accused of conspiracy to burgle in connection with a series of raids allegedly committed over several months.

Nicholas Humphries, 18, of Queen Mary Road, Gaywood, appeared at Norwich Crown Court yesterday for a preliminary hearing over the allegation.

He is accused of conspiring with five others to raid several properties around Lynn between September 29 last year and January 26 this year.

He also faces a second charge of stealing a debit card and using it to obtain £50 in Lynn between September 11 and September 16 last year.

The case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing to be held at Norwich Crown Court on May 27. He has been remanded in custody until that date.

Meanwhile, two other men, James Jennings and Leo Henson, both 18 and of Bagge Road, Gaywood, are due to appear at the same court tomorrow charged with conspiracy to burgle.

Two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy from the Lynn area, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are also due before the court tomorrow on the same charge.
