Feltwell hit and run victim named by Norfolk Police as Leslie Norton




A man who died as a result of a hit and run in Feltwell has been identified by police.

Leslie Norton, 56, from Feltwell, died from a head injury sustained in the incident, which occurred at approximately 11pm on Tuesday, September 28.

Mr Norton was initially taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, Norfolk, before later being transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital, where he died on Thursday, September 30.

Norfolk Police are now appealing for help to trace the driver of the car.

A man in his 30s was arrested on Wednesday, September 29 in connection with the incident, but he has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Officers are asking for anyone who may have been in the area between 9.30pm and 11.45pm on Tuesday, September 28, to contact them.

They are keen to speak to the driver of a car which was captured on CCTV travelling along Bell Street, passing the Londis Store just before 10.10pm. They then continued onto the High Street, passing the One Stop shop.

It is believed that the occupant/s of the vehicle may have witnessed the accident and that they may be able to help them with their enquiries.
