Man released on bail after another dies following hit and run in Feltwell's Mulberry Close




A man who was arrested in connection with a hit and run in Feltwell on Tuesday which left a man with fatal injuries has been released on police bail.

Passersby in Feltwell's Mulberry Close called 999 on Tuesday at about 11pm after they found a man with serious head and leg injuries in the street.

Ambulance crews took the man in his 50s to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn but later transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where he died yesterday.

The street was closed off as forensic units descended on the scene on Wednesday and officers believed the man had been involved in a hit and run incident.

A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in connection with the incident on the same day but has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who may have seen anything in the Mulberry Close area between 9.30pm and 11.45pm – or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage – should contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting incident number 23 of Wednesday 29 September 2021.
