Police say the victim, who is in his 30s, was walking along a cycle path off Tennyson Avenue at around 5.15pm on Monday when he was approached by two men who asked for “a light.”

As he offered a lighter, one of the men grabbed his arm and stole a bracelet from his wrist. The other then ripped a necklace from his neck. The pair then ran off towards the Fairstead estate.

One of the men is described as white, 6ft 4 to 6ft 6 tall and of large build. He had shaved blonde or light brown hair and was wearing a white jumper with grey speckles, white jeans and white trainers.

The other man is said to be white, 5ft 8 to 5ft 10 tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark blue tracksuit with white stripes on the arms and legs, white trainers and had a hood over his head.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information about it, is asked to contact Det Con Sam Harris, of Lynn CID, on 101.
