An investigation has been launched after an elderly man was seriously injured in a collision with a van on Thursday night.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward in connection with the incident, which happened on Hall Lane, West Winch, at around 7.15pm.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said a silver Renault Trafic van was in collision with a pedestrian close to the junction with Gravelpit Lane.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s who is from the Lynn area, suffered serious head and back injuries in the incident.
He was taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw how the van was being driven prior to it, is asked to contact PC Christopher Bradley, of the roads policing unit based at Swaffham, via the non-emergency 101 number.
