Man stabbed during altercation in King’s Lynn street

An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed and repeatedly punched during a disturbance on Tuesday evening.

The incident happened in an alley opposite the Strikes bowl multiplex on Lynn Road, Gaywood at around 6.30pm.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said the victim, who is in his 40s, suffered a small puncture wound to his side during the altercation.

She said the man and a woman, also in her 40s, were believed to have been approached by a group of four males, whose ages are not known, on bikes before the argument broke out.

As well as the stab wound, the man was also punched several times in the head and body during the incident and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

However, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The area was sealed off and inquiries into the incident are continuing.
