Man transferred to hospital with serious injuries after accident near Swaffham




A man has been transported to hospital with serious injuries following an accident near Swaffham yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on the A47 near Swaffham just after 8pm.

The collision involved three vehicles, and two ambulance crews were sent to the scene alongside an air ambulance.

The collision happened around 8pm, just before the McDonalds turning on the A47, heading towards Swaffham,

One man was transported to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries and another man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn.

A final person was assessed and discharged at the scene by the ambulance service.

Diversions were in place at the A1101after the road was closed for several hours.
