Soham man Jake Fenn who was set to face trial after alleged assault at Watlington railway station has case dismissed




A 28-year-old man who was set to face a trial after being charged with assault has had his case dismissed.

Jake Fenn was accused of assaulting a female by beating her at Watlington’s railway station on August 27 last year.

He appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court in April for a pre-trial hearing and pleaded not guilty to the offence.

Fenn, of Mill Corner in Soham, Cambridgeshire, was set to return to the Lynn court for his trial last month, but his case was dismissed as no evidence was offered.

Court officials confirmed that his costs – including an amount in respect of legal costs – would be paid from central funds.
