Police charge 51-year-old Antony Bonner with having a knife in public place and stealing a van following shop robbery in Outwell




A man has been charged after allegedly going on a crime spree which saw him rob a village shop and steal a van.

Police rushed to Church Terrace in Outwell at 10am on Saturday after receiving reports of the robbery and a stolen vehicle.

Shortly after, officers arrested 51-year-old Antony Bonner, of no fixed address, and took him to Lynn’s Police Investigation Centre, where he was questioned on the incident.

He was charged with having a knife in a public place as well as the theft of alcohol and food worth £50 from the store, stealing a motor vehicle and using it on a road without insurance.

He has since been remanded into custody and is set to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today.
