An airman from Marham is undertaking a 170-mile walk to raise money for East Anglia Children’s hospice (EACH).
Senior Aircraftman Tom Windibank set off on Saturday with the aim of raising £500 for his chosen charity.
During the three-day challenge the 23-year-old father-of-one will walk from RAF Marham to Cambrdge, then on to Bracknell, Wokingham, Basingstoke, Winchester, his home town of Eastleigh and finishing in Southampton today.
The cause is dear to his heart because his sister-in-law had Rett Syndrome, a severe neurological disorder, and was cared for by EACH’s hospice at Quidenham.
“I thought I would do as big a task as I could think of and go,” he said.
