Marham woman's green achievements recognised at annual eco award ceremony
A woman from Marham who encourages recycling in her community and organises litter picks has been recognised for her eco achievements.
Amy Shaw was highly commended in the Eco Hero category of the Norwich and Norfolk Eco Awards, organised by Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council, last week.
A Facebook group started up by Amy now has more than 180 members and is a “hub” for eco-friendly ideas.
Judges said: “Amy has done a great job in instigating a new recycling network in Marham, and in bringing neighbours together to advance the cause. A really great example of what can be done at the grassroots.”
