Organisers have also said they have "massively ramped up" the number of security marshals and other measures including temperature testing upon entrance, no entrance without pre-booking and no more than groups of six when purchasing tickets.

Chairman of Downham Round Table Ryan Rix said: "The lads behind this event, have worked tirelessly over the last few months, adapting plans, and ideas to make this work, and to keep everyone safe and well, and we believe we have come up with a few solutions. This has been aided by the team at Stradsett hall, for their ideas and for welcoming us to use their events field again."

The team still intend to have a large fairground and amusements area, with lots of different food and drinks vendors on site.

All vendors and fairground personnel are required to maintain strict social and health guidance, and everyone on site will be required to maintain social distancing.

Mr Rix added: "Here at Downham Market Round Table, we have been one of the longest standing fireworks events in the area, and recently we became one of, if not the largest fireworks display in the area, with the largest budget of fireworks.

"We have been sited at Denver for the last 45 or more years, but last year made the bold decision to move the event to Stradsett Hall and Country Park, as we had easily outgrown the field we had always used.

"This was a massive decision to be made by us all, and one we didn't take lightly. However, we decided we must move, and move we did."

Tickets are being sold through the ticket selling website EventBrite. There is also a dedicated Facebook page for the event which can be found by searching Downham Fireworks.
