King's Lynn mayor Lesley Bambridge presents Jubilee coins to All Saints Academy at Stoke Ferry

Borough mayor, Cllr Lesley Bambridge, visited All Saints Academy at Stoke Ferry to present the school with the special Jubilee coins on Thursday.

This was one of the first duties of the new mayor who last week was on a whistle stop tour before half-term, doing six schools per day.

"Every school wanted it done in a different way about how they were handed out on the day. Some were having events, others a party or a picnic," she said.

"In this case they were handed out to members of the school council, who received the coins on behalf of all the pupils because they were having events on the Thursday and Friday."

All pupils in the borough are due to receive a coin to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
