Meet the Capt Tom 'Superfans' from a King's Lynn care home
After the sad passing of a beloved national hero yesterday, swathes of the country are in mourning for the loss of a man who was beacon of hope in dark times.
King's Lynn Residential home residents have come together to pay tribute to the late Captain and have been described by staff as 'superfans'.
Staff and residents will no doubt be taking part in the national clap announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to honour Captain Sir Tom Moore's at 6pm tonight.
They want to send their well wishes to Tom's family at this time.
Jodi, who works at the home has said: "Our residents are Superfans of Sir Captain Tom's and have followed his every move in the media.
"We were devastated to hear of his passing and wanted his family to know that our thoughts are with them.
Sir Tom has brightened, what has been some very dark days in the last year for us and we have spent today remembering him for the hero and true gentleman that he was.
"Because of Tom we all know that tomorrow will be a better day."
