Heat wave is so hot even the ice cream in the freezer has melted

One disgruntled customer, Jemma Lowis of Lynn, found that her Ben and Jerry's ice cream had "turned into milkshake" after a five minute trip home from Morrisons.

Returning to the store the next day, Jemma noticed that all the ice cream tubs in the end freezer were "soft", unlike products stored the other freezers.

Upon reporting the issue to staff Jemma became dissatisfied with their answers, " I told a member of staff that it was a health hazard, as they are dairy products,

they took a quick look at the freezer and said 'It's 18 degrees, so that means it's fine.' Despite what the temperature display was saying the ice cream was melting!"

Jemma then took to twitter "@Morrisons I've reported 3 times your kings lynn store end freezers and ice cream is like liquid. Nothing gets done! Now you've finally moved the ben and jerrys but put other ice cream there! Wonder what environmental health would say?"

Morrisons replied: "Sorry Jemma! We have now fixed the freezer concerned and it is now working correctly. Your feedback has been passed on to the store manager and he will keep an eye on this."

However, Jemma is still not satisfied as she claims, "They couldn't have possibly fixed the freezer that quickly! Just after I send a Tweet!"

After some investigation, staff at the Morrisons King's Lynn store can confirm that the freezer has been finally fixed.

Jemma told the Lynn News: "Morrisons could have been selling ice cream that's been defrosted and frozen again and they aren't safe to eat. Someone could get ill."
