Pictured here are the younger pupils at Weeting Primary School in May, 1984.
With a history dating back more than 200 years, it was one of the oldest schools in Norfolk. The buildings had been modernised and extended in line with the standards of the 20th century, but the children could still see plenty of evidence of the school’s early days because the original thatched school house and building were still used.
The school stood in the centre of the village in an idyllic parkland setting and played an important part in the life of the community.
