A panto for all ages was how Fincham Histrionic Society described its production of Hiawatha which was staged in the village memorial hall in February, 1980.
That was the eighth annual pantomime performed by the society and once again members made their own costumes and scenery. A troupe of dancing girls opened the performance which revolved in song and dance around the love story of Hiawatha and Minnehaha. Mr Dave Cockerton wrote the script while his wife Marjorie trained the young Indian patrol. Hiawatha was played by Heather Wink and Minnehaha by Jasmine Underhill.
