Two men charged with possession of weapons following Downham Market fight between group of men




Two men have been charged following a fight between a group of men in Downham earlier this year which left one person with injuries.

The incident took place at Rushmeadow Crescent, with police receiving multiple calls to the disturbance on Monday, June 17.

Originally, three men were arrested and taken to Lynn’s Police Investigation Centre for questioning before being released on bail.

Leigh McCurdy, 24, of Elizabeth Avenue in Downham, and Nicholas Moore, 55, of Manor Road in Stoke Ferry, have both been charged with having an offensive weapon and using threatening, abusive words or behaviour likely to cause someone to believe violence would be used.

Both are due to appear at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 3.

A third man, aged in his 20s, has been released with no further action taken against him.
