More flats proposed for former Hunstanton print works

Developers behind a new housing development on the site of a former Hunstanton print works have submitted new proposals to expand the scheme.

Planning permission was granted for 16 apartments on the old Whitleys Stationers Press site in Church Street in March last year.

But now the developers, Waterfield Dudley (Hunstanton 1) Ltd, are seeking to amend that consent to allow two extra flats to be built there.

A report by Thomas Wilson Architects, the applicant's agents, said: "The development will take place following the demolition and site clearance of the former print works."

The document claimed the project would offer "generously spaced" apartments on the site.

It added that two areas of the application site would also be made available for local usage as private parking.

A decision on the new application is expected from borough council officials in October.
