More former RAF Marham homes to go on sale with William H Brown this week

More ex-services homes in Marham are due to go on sale this week following on from the release two weeks ago of the first dozen being offered at below average prices.

The first 12 homes at Field View in Marham , which went on sale on September 18, have been snapped up with offers made on every unit.

The two and three-bedroomed semi-detached homes went on sale for around a third of the average house price in East Anglia and understandably attracted a huge amount of interest. Prices were starting at £119,000.

According to selling agents William H Brown in Swaffham, there were around 70 viewings the first weekend following the homes' release on the market and this weekend there were a further 26 viewings.

Offers have been made on all 12 properties, with one property having five offers. Those who made offers but were unsuccessful will have the chance to go on the waiting list as more properties are released.

The houses were originally built as married quarters and accommodation for military personnel at nearby RAF Marham.

On Friday, October 2, at least a further five homes, also two and three-bedroomed properties, will be released on the market.

Over the next 12 months a total of 120 homes at Field View are being sold.

The Field View homes sale was launched by Annington, one of the largest private owners of residential property in the UK.

According to Annington, the average house price in East Anglia is £338,918, and these homes are for sale at just over a third of the average price, providing an ideal opportunity for first-time buyers.

Annington has refurbished the properties, carrying out internal redecoration, laying brand new carpets, flooring and, externally, new fencing to the rear gardens. All homes have allocated parking.

Tony Oulds, branch manager at William H Brown in Swaffham, said: “A lower-than-average price figure does not have to equate to lower-than-average standards."

Armed Forces and buyers who make use of Annington’s recommended legal and survey team, will receive a £1,000 discount on their legal and survey fees.
