This year’s festival included traditional fete games, live entertainment, dog shows and refreshments, among more.

PTA chairman Emma Whitmore said: “MeadowFest was extremely successful and raised almost £1,300 for our school.

“We had a much wider range of stalls available this year including farmers market stalls.

“People enjoyed the dog show very kindly sponsored by Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic and judged by Justin Kirkland the vet from there.

“We were well attended by the local community and fortunately even though it was windy the weather stayed dry.

“People commented on how fantastic our live bands were and that they had come along expecting a school fete but it was really something special and they happily stayed for the whole afternoon.

“We have a meeting to set a date for next year where we are hoping to welcome even more stalls and attractions.”
