More than 250 schoolchildren invited to music recital in Snettisham
More than 250 schoolchildren were invited to St Mary’s Church in Snettisham on Thursday to listen to a short recital by Joo Yeon and Irina Andrievsky.
Churchwarden Marian Abramovich said: “I am secretary of Classical Music Rocks a group that promotes classical music in primary schools in West Norfolk.
“Joo Yeon is one of the young professional musicians who work with CMR (Classical Music Rocks).
“Therefore both The Friends and CMR have a similar vision of making high quality music more available at a cost that is considerably less than most other places
“Going to concerts these days the audience is mostly over 60 and if we don’t make great music more readily available to the younger generation the future looks bleak.”
