A van thought to have been used in a raid on a motorcycle dealership in Fakenham last week has been found on Merseyside, police said today.

Five motorbikes were stolen from the Matt Pope Motorcycles premises in Hawthorn Way, sometime between 6pm last Sunday, July 1, and 8.30am the following morning.

Police believe a white Citroen panel van, which itself was stolen from a property in Millers Close, Fakenham, between 9pm last Sunday and 6.10am last Monday, was used in the incident. The vehicle has now been recovered in the Liverpool area.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, or who has information about either incident, is asked to contact PC Kim Love, at Fakenham police station, via the non-emergency 101 number.
