Motorcyclist airlifted to Cambridge Hospital after crash on A17 at Terrington St Clement





A motorcyclist was air-lifted to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Friday night.

The A17 was closed following the serious crash close to the Station Road junction at Terrington St Clement, with police being called at 6.15pm.

Two cars and a motorbike were involved, with the driver of the latter transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after suffering serious injuries.

Three people were also taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital by land ambulance.

A rapid response vehicle and ambulance officer vehicle had also been sent to the scene, the East of England Ambulance Service said.

Norfolk Police said that the A17 was reopened at 11.05pm on Friday.

Officers had blocked the exit to the road from the Pullover Roundabout on the outskirts of Lynn, with drivers forced to divert through Clenchwarton.
