Pensthorpe nature reserve to feature stunning seasonal sculpture trail this summer
A popular nature park is set to unveil a new seasonal sculpture trail this summer.
Pensthorpe is welcoming the work of eight celebrated artists from across the UK.
The trail officially opens on Saturday, June 7 and will run until Tuesday, September 30.
The 700-acre nature reserve, already known for its integration of art within its landscapes, is expanding its creative offerings with a curated collection of new installations.
Each sculpture has been chosen to reflect Pensthorpe’s deep connection to nature and its commitment to conservation.
“We have always sought to harmonise art and nature within our stunning landscape, inspiring connection and creativity while championing conservation,” said Deb Jordan, co-owner of Pensthorpe.
“The introduction of new installations by talented guest artists adds an exciting new dimension.”
The trail is designed to complement Pensthorpe’s evolving gardens, with each sculpture carefully placed to enhance both the art and the surrounding environment.
Head gardener Jonathan Pearce said: “The addition of these sculptures elevates our visitors’ experience and adds an extra layer of enjoyment.
"The location of each piece means people get to experience them exactly as the artist intended.”
As part of the trail, some artworks will be available to purchase through the Pensthorpe shop, including pieces by local artists Amberlights and LV Bespoke.
The sculpture trail is included in standard day admission, with adult tickets starting at £16.50. Entry is free for current Pensthorpe members.
