Woottons C 3

Clenchwarton Navy 3 (AET)

Clenchwarton, who started with the heavy wind conditions in their favour, won this thriller on penalties.

After 15 minutes at a corner Sam Baxter’s shot took a deflection into the net.

Soon after Jordan Davies cut inside, and scored from 25 yards. Woottons hit back after a mistake and made the game 2-1 at half-time.

Woottons with the wind behind them dominated large periods and took the game into extra-time at 2-2.

Woottons went ahead when a long shot was spilled by the keeper. Lee Briggs brought on Zachariah Oglesby late on and his lob sent the game into penalties.

Navy keeper Brad Larman redeemed himself and saved the first Woottons penalty. Penalty scorers for Navy were Ryan Walpole, Matthew Burridge, Thomas Hunt, Bradley Briggs and Charlie Dye.

Clenchwarton YFC thank the officials, the league and Fakenham Town FC for putting on a great day of finals.
