Passengers using the West Norfolk Community Transport service will benefit from a “one stop shop” style service.

A passenger hub has been created outside the scheme’s shopmobility centre in Clough Lane following improvement work at Lynn bus station.

Previously drivers stopped at the bus station but the bays have been moved to Clough Lane. West Norfolk Council has provided the group with parking bays, dropped kerbs, a bus shleter and signage.

Paul Ruskin, WNCT transport manager, said: “The move for us is fantastic and we cannot thank the council enough for the support it has provided. To have our stops directly outside of the shopmobility centre is fabulous as many of our customers suffer with mobility problems. They can now go directly from the buses and into the centre to pick up any mobility scooter or wheelchair they may need. Even for those who do not need to use the shopmobility, the stops are right in the town centre so it is also very convenient for them.”
