A King's Lynn Town footballer who faces drugs charges is set to be given a new court date.

Rory McAuley was due to appear before Norwich Crown Court today, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug and possession of criminal property.

The 31-year-old was committed to the crown court by magistrates in the city last month.

But the case will now not be heard today, with officials indicating there was insufficient capacity in court listings to schedule it.

A new date for the hearing is likely to be fixed in the next few days.

McAuley, of George Fox Way, Norwich, was suspended by Lynn nearly two weeks ago before details of the charges against him became known.
