New defibrillator installed at The Anvil Inn in Congham

A community has been given a huge boost thanks to the installation of a new life-saving device.

The defibrillator has been put in place at Congham’s The Anvil Inn, which is located just off St Andrews Lane - which runs the length of the village.

This came after a parish council initiative - and members have been delighted.

Borough councillor Michael de Whalley, who is the chairman of Congham Parish Council, said: “We are grateful to The Anvil Inn for hosting the defibrillator.

“The location of the defibrillator is perfect and gives every resident in Congham and the neighbouring parish of Roydon access to this life-saving device.”

Karl Long, the landlord of the pub, added:“The defibrillator is a welcome community to our village and we are proud to host it The Anvil Inn.”

The pair were joined by parish councillors Linda Grange, Tim Tilbrook and Norman Grief to celebrate the defibrillator’s installation.
