New eatery Jack’s Restaurant opens for business at West Norfolk holiday park

A new restaurant offering home-cooked British dishes and local produce has opened at a holiday park in Stow Bridge.

Jack’s Restaurant at Woodlakes opened for business last Friday, with borough mayor Geoff Hipperson declaring the venue officially open last Thursday.

Owner Jack Langford, who has launched the restaurant alongside his partner Chelsea Marsh, said their new venture had been about a year in the making, after they agreed to take the project on with Woodlakes Park owner Martin Reynolds last summer.

Both Jack and Chelsea have experience in the industry, with Jack having previously worked at Arbuckles, and Chelsea at Castle Rising Tea Rooms.

On their first week in business, Jack said: “It’s been going loads better than we thought.”

He said he had believed Monday to Wednesday this week might have been quiet but it was the “absolute opposite”.

“It’s been a bit overwhelming, but it’s brilliant that it’s been so good – we’ve had some good Facebook reviews as well.”

Kitchen manager Chelsea said the restaurant offers classic British meals and Mexican dishes – which have been proving popular – and all the food is home-cooked,

“We use as much local produce as we can,” she added.

“We think we have got something that pleases everyone on our menu.”

Jack’s Restaurant is open from Monday to Thursday 12pm to 9pm, Friday and Saturday 9am to 10pm, and Sundays 9am to 5pm.

More details, including the menu, can be found on the restaurant’s Facebook page ‘Jack’s at Woodlakes’.
