New Norfolk deputy chief fire officer named

Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service has welcomed a new Deputy Chief Fire Officer today.

Stuart Ruff has decades of experience in the sector and most recently worked as Assistant Chief Fire Officer for Lincolnshire.

Norfolk’s Chief Fire Officer David Ashworth said: “We are delighted to welcome Stuart to our fire family and the teams are very much looking forward to working with him."

Margaret Dewsbury, chairman of Norfolk County Council’s Communities Committee, said: “Stuart brings a wealth of experience and I am sure he will be a great fit for our fire and rescue service.

"The dedication of our fire staff in keeping Norfolk safe is much appreciated by us all and I wish Stuart the best of luck.”

DCFO Ruff’s previous roles have also included being a member of the national Chief Fire & Rescue Advisory Unit in London and working for Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Service.
