Both have been promoted from existing roles within the school, which celebrated strong GCSE results last month, despite the reforms to the exam system.

Miss Staniforth, who is currently Leader of Excellence in English said “We have a fantastic bunch of students, and I look forward to working with them and all our fantastic staff to help them achieve their very best.”

Miss Turner, the current head of year 11, added: “I am very excited about the future and look forward to us all to working together to help drive Iceni Academy towards outstanding, improving the education and prospects for all of our students.”

Principal Stephen Plume, second left, said: “Amy and Sarah are both exceptional teachers who are enthusiastic and dedicated to the students. It is an exciting time to be at Iceni Academy.”
