Runcton Holme new school officially opens

A new West Norfolk primary school was finally able to hold an official opening ceremony on Wednesday.

Holy Cross Church of England Primary School welcomed guests including the Bishop of Huntingdon to the school on Wednesday afternoon.

The school, which is part of the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT), welcomed its first cohort of pupils back in September following the merger of Wormegay Church of England Primary School and Runcton Holme Church of England Primary School.

Students have been enjoying their new environment since September, but the official opening was pushed back due to the pandemic.
