New Heacham dog grooming salon is set to open this weekend following owners' love for animals
A newly qualified dog groomer is opening up her own salon to follow her passion.
Ellona Newlyn, 20, has had a love for animals since a young age – and her own dog grooming salon will open this Sunday in Heacham.
After studying animal management level 3 for one year, then studying for a further two years at the College of West Anglia in Cambridge, she obtained a distinction in level 2 and 3 dog grooming.
Following on from completing her courses she gained experience in all aspects of grooming by working at a local salon. She has worked there for just over two years and has taken a lead role.
Ellona is dedicated to offering her doggy customers a quality service with care, and her mum Karen describes her as “so patient, loving, and incredibly talented”.
The salon ‘Honey’s House’ is named after her dog, a shih tzu called Honey, and is located in Heacham at 21B Hight Street.
On Sunday, there will be an official opening ceremony taking place at the salon from 11am-3pm, where people are welcome to attend with their furry friends and have a chat with Ellona. Her diary will be open for appointments.
On the day there will be small nibbles and drinks along with treats for furry friends.
Opening times for the salon will be 9am to 5pm, although Ellona will be doing some out-of-hour grooms by appointment.
