New sports hub planned for Litcham School

Secondary pupils at one Norfolk school could soon be using a new sports pavilion if new proposals get the go-ahead.

Plans for a new facility at the Litcham School site on Back Lane have been submitted to Breckland Council.

Documents lodged as part of the application said: "The existing pavilion is no longer fit for purpose and needs to be upgraded to provide appropriate, sustainable accommodation that meets the needs of both the school and local community sports clubs.

"The existing building will be retained during the construction of the new pavilion and then demolished when the first phase is completed.

"The second phase of the development will include a classroom/community facility and kitchen and will be progressed subject to available funding."

Litcham School is one of 11 schools within the Synergy Multi-Academy Trust, which also includes the Fakenham Infant and Junior Schools.
