Fakenham McDonald’s could be approved by North Norfolk District Council in December

A decision on whether a new McDonald’s restaurant can open in Fakenham looks set to be made by early December.

The fast food chain sent an application to North Norfolk District Council last month, asking permission to construct premises on a site to the rear of Lidl on Holt Road.

The council has set a determination date of December 6, meaning a decision could be made before then.

The only other major chain fast food restaurant in Fakenham is Subway, with residents required to travel to the likes of Dereham if they want to eat from McDonald’s.
