The NHS in West Norfolk is reminding people to be prepared with their medication over the bank holiday this year.

Those who require regular medication should plan ahead to ensure they have everything they need before the festive season begins.

Some pharmacies will remain open during the period, offering expert advice on common conditions such as, colds, cuts and bruises, insect bites and other minor ailments.

Deputy chief officer of Norfolk Local Pharmaceutical Committee, Lauren Seamons, said: "Please allow plenty of time for your prescription to be made up and try to come and collect a day or two before you run out to reduce the chance of a small issue becoming a big problem."

They have said to order your repeat prescriptions in good time, so they can be processed and dispensed before the holiday.

Head of medicines optimisation NHS Norfolk and Waveney CCG said: “We are urging you to be prepared this Easter bank holiday and make sure you have your medication.”

The NHS cautioned that Covid-19 is still around, and to adhere to infection prevention behaviours and get vaccinated.
