Villagers say it is a “shame” that a sheltered housing complex has remained empty for two years.
Willow Lodge in Hilgay was closed by Freebridge Community Housing in 2013 as it was in need of extensive modernisation.
The site features 16 flats along with a bungalow for the warden.
It was built in 1970, but now there are no firm plans for the future of the site.
Director of property Colin Davison said: “Willow Lodge in Hilgay closed in 2013 as the accommodation was unsuitable for our tenants.
“We are still considering our options for the site and as yet no decisions have been made.”
Village butcher Ali Dent is now calling for action to be taken with the vacant property.
He said: “It is such a shame that it is not used rather than just being left.
“There are flats there and they have just been empty for a few years.
“It is such a shame when you hear people are waiting for a home on the housing register.”
Former tenants of Willow Lodge were moved into new homes after the site was closed.
n Mr Dent is organising a quiz to raise money for Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital. It will be held on Saturday, February 28, starting at 7.30pm in Hilgay Village Hall; teams of four only.
