Norfolk braced for heavy rain and thunderstorms as Met Office issues yellow weather warning
A thunderstorm warning is in place for Norfolk today with potential disruption for residents.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning from noon to 11.59pm, with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected.
It said spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
There is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
Power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost, it said.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds, it added.
Further rain is expected over the next couple of days, as a yellow weather warning for rain is in place until 6am on Thursday.
