The son of Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner Stephen Bett is set to stand trial this summer accused of causing a woman’s death by dangerous driving.

Henry Bett, 26, of Hall Lane, Thornham, pleaded not guilty to the single charge against him when he appeared before Peterborough Crown Court today.

He is accused of causing the death of 43-year-old Rebecca Brown by dangerously driving a Fendt tractor at Castle Acre on December 4, 2013. An inquest into her death has yet to take place.

Bett’s trial is now due to start on July 6 and is expected to last for three weeks.
