Norfolk Police use drone to search for missing person in West Norfolk town




A drone was deployed in a West Norfolk coastal town yesterday evening (Tuesday, February 18) following reports of a missing person.

Police were called to Waveney Road in Hunstanton around 9.30pm.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Police said: "Following enquiries, the missing person was found safe and well. The drone was used for enquiries in this case."

The drone was mobilised from Wymondham where Norfolk Constabulary's force headquarters are based.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called at 9.49pm but a spokeswoman said they were stood down.
