Norfolk residents warned of thunderstorms and heavy showers as Met Office issues yellow weather warning
Residents in Norfolk have been warned to expect heavy showers and thunderstorms today.
It comes as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms until 10pm across much of the East of England and the South East of the country.
Forecasters warned that, due to this, some localised disruption may be possible.
There is a good chance that driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus, they said.
Meanwhile, some flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely and there could be damage to a few buildings and structures by lightning strikes.
Delays to train services are also possible and some short term loss of power and other services is likely too.
