Generous artists have raised hundreds of pounds for the North Lynn Discovery Centre.

Spectrum Art Group raised £350 for the centre during an art exhibition and craft fair during July.

The week-long exhibition, which was held in the London Road Methodist Church, included art work and crafts which had been made by members of the group.

More than 100 pictures had been on display. These were created by 26 members.

Members also sold plants during the popular exhibition.

Chairwoman of the art group Yvonne Glenn said the group had wanted to support a local charity with this exhibition.

She said: “My grandson used to go there and they do a lot of good work for the children. It was a very successful week.”

The group meets on a Thursday morning in the London Road Methodist Church.
